Looking around the world, I see people without sufficient food to eat. I see people with all the food in the world but lacking the most essential ingredients. I see people starving to death quickly, and I see people starving their own bodies, ... slowly.
In a world where it is ever so easy to supply everybody with the food they need to live a healthy life, they make us believe genetics are the cause of all those diseases and discomforts. With a, I can't help it mentality, we go to the doctor asking for a miracle pill that will make up for things that we are responsible for our self in the first place. Un-balanced diets, physical inactivity, addictions and mal nutrition go hand in hand.
However, how many people really know how bad our food chain is at the moment? How many people don't know that most of our foods are produced with fertilizers containing only 11 minerals and trace elements where the full spectrum has 92? How many people have knowledge about the base ~ acid balance? (pH value). How many people do you think heard about the omega 3 ~ 6 balance? How many people really believe that food is the best medicine to cure a disease and preventing them from becoming ill in the first place?
How many times we have been told; "If you eat a balanced diet your body gets everything it needs". And that, ladies and gentlemen is a big, BIG lie! It's almost impossible to get the minimum amount of essential nutrients for the body to perform well. Ask people about aging and the answer you get will be; "You have to be lucky". When you drive your car without the regular service intervals and you say to yourself; you have to be lucky, that it won't let you down. Silly isn't it? Most people think aging comes with sickness and discomforts. The real reason is however; our immune system is lacking the most essential tools to do the task at hand. Instead of going to the doctor you better start using unprocessed whole food. Instead of giving the responsibility of your personal health to a doctor, you might want to take control of it yourself (?).
What I see in this world today in the supermarket is a food chain with at the most 20% non-organic whole food. The other 80 percent has a range from non-beneficial to a real danger for your overall health. Some foods get way to much credit to be named food!
What I see at the other side is the pharmaceutical industry that supplies us with medications that you don't need if you know how to take care of your body. When you save money on foods you might end up spending it on the doctors bill.
I see people bring their car regularly to the garage for a (preventive) service check. The same people might be visiting the doctor after the facts.
I think our world isn't meant to be this way, where company profits are far more important than the health of millions of people. The only way to reverse this collective thinking is for all of us to vote with our wallets. You and Me! Buying healthier food and cutting down our health bills. At the same time feeling much better and productive with a positive look to the future.
Helping people to preserve and maintain an optimum health status, that's my goal. Find out more about the protest song I recorded about the Codex Alimentarius (food rules) at: http://www.uitdaging.net/Health_Protest_Song.html
Free online couponsAyurveda is a popular and traditional natural healing system in India. It involves some simple practical guidelines for leading a healthy and stress free life. It involves certain practices which will bring the perfect physical and mental balance. Ayurveda essentially means the science of life and it teaches man to live in harmony with nature to achieve good health.
As each and every person has a different constitution Ayurveda seeks to balance the doshas or humors in a person which is the basis of good health. Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine and seeks to prevent as well as cure diseases. It tries to cure diseases in the mental, physical and spiritual level and in that way is gaining recognition the world over as a good alternative system of medicine.
The three important principles which govern the normal functioning of the human body according to Ayurveda are Vata, Pitta and Kapha. They symbolize the three bhutas namely air, fire and water. Any disequilibrium in the three doshas will lead to imbalance in the body in some form that in turn leads to diseases. Ayurveda encompasses eight branches of treatment ranging from surgery, internal medicine, childhood diseases, toxicology, psychiatry and many more disciplines.
There are also weight loss packages and traditional panchakarma treatments offered at the ayurvedic centers which aim a host of diseases including depression, chronic headache and other stress related disorders. The panchakarma treatment also helps in detoxifying, rejuvenating and balancing both mind and body. Ayurveda also gives advice on food and lifestyle changes to be incorporated in one's life that will kick start all round health. Its popularity lies in the fact that it combines both preventive and curative aspects of medicine in treating ailments of different kinds.

Beauty TipsArizona small businesses are feeling the crunch of the current economy and our national health care crisis. Many employers are unable to help their employees with a company health plan because of the soaring costs. This creates its own economic crisis because, without a viable benefit package, recruiting and retention creates a personnel problem. How can a small business create a benefit package on a shoe string budget?
Recent changes in Arizona law have created the opportunity for small business owners to offer a full blown benefit package to their employees without having to contribute financially.
The problem with group coverage is that it has become very expensive or even prohibitive for the average small business owner. They want to help their employees, but can they keep their doors open and take care of their employees' health care needs at the same time? The answer seems to be no for about 40 percent of Arizona residents whose employer does not offer any health plan at all.
Another big problem with traditional group health plans is portability. Because group plans are not portable, when an employee leaves a company they can not take the plan with them. They can opt to go on COBRA when they leave but for anyone one who has had the misfortune of accepting this coverage it is hugely expensive and ends in only 18 months.
Additionally, managing a traditional group health insurance plan is time consuming for the small business owners. Not only do they have the burden of their portion of the premium, they must become their own benefits coordinator or at an additional expense, hire an H.R. person.
The answer to these and many other group insurance problems is voluntary benefits.
Voluntary benefits are a total paradigm shift in the human resource equation. A total voluntary benefits package lifts the financial and management burden from the employer.
All the owner is required to do is to payroll deduct the insurance premium of the employee each month and remit one consolidated payment to the insurance company.
The employee still enjoys the benefits of the coverage and the advantage of payroll deduction. The insurance agent becomes the benefits coordinator and assists both the employees and the employer with their respective health benefits needs.
It is a solution for those small businesses that can not offer benefits to their employees because the costs are prohibitive.

fitness equipmentThere are a lot of things that cause water retention. Most of them are petty, such as diet, hot weather or sunburn. Others, meanwhile, can be more serious which may include hormonal imbalance and underlying medical conditions. Either way, Edema, or the swelling of the extremities due to fluid retention, is not something that you can simply ignore.
If you think that you are feeling a little bloated for several days or weeks now, it would be best to go to your doctor and have yourself checked. Read on and learn what medical conditions can bring about water retention as a symptom.
Arthritis
Localized edema is quite common in people who are suffering from arthritis. As a matter of fact, inflammation of joints may be due to fluid retention.
Allergy
It is not unlikely that people who have allergic reactions to certain substances may experience edema or bloating in response to certain allergens such as bee sting or a particular type of food. Generally, allergic reactions can be mild, but some people experience severe reactions to allergens and need to get immediate medical attention. In most allergy cases, edema or bloating is just brief or short lived.
Cirrhosis and Other Liver Diseases
It is common to see people who are suffering from extreme liver problems to have swollen or bloated abdomen. The main reason for the swelling is that sometimes congestion in that area leads to higher pressure in the blood vessels of the liver, which results to the reverse flow of blood in the organ. If the patient is lying down for most part of the day, fluid retention in the feet and even lower back may be common.
Heart Problems
The right chamber of the heart is responsible for getting blood from the rest of the body and pumps it to the lungs to be loaded with oxygen. Meanwhile, the left chamber is the one that pumps oxygenated blood to the whole body. A person who has a problem with either chamber usually suffers from water retention because the body compensates for the heart's inefficiency and tends to retain water and increase blood volume. However, this could lead to increased pressure in the veins, engorgement of the liver, bloating of the abdominal cavity, and even swelling of the legs or lungs.
Lymphoedema
The lymphatic system helps in the elimination of waste and toxins from the body through sweat. However, those who have malignant growths in the lymph nodes may suffer from edema as the tumors prevent the system from doing its job efficiently.
Persistent Venous Insufficiency
People who are suffering from chronic venous insufficiency, such as deep vein thrombosis, may find that their ankles, feet or lower extremities are swollen. The main reason behind this is pressure from the clots or varicose veins.
Kidney Diseases
Medical practitioners are aware that certain kidney problems, particularly acute glomerulonephritis or nephritic syndrome, surely cause edema in the legs and the area around the eyes. Much like in other cases, swelling is caused by increased pressure in the veins due to the failure of the kidneys to eliminate sodium and fluid.
Hormonal Imbalance
A lot of women complain of weight gain or swollenness before their menstrual period or during menopause. Water retention experienced at these times is usually caused by fluctuating levels of female sex hormone progesterone. The problem can be exacerbated by a diet that is high in salt or sodium. Aside from hormonal imbalance, estrogen replacement therapy used to treat menopause can also be responsible for the swelling and weight gain due to fluid retention during perimenopause.
As mentioned earlier, if your water retention is linked to other symptoms, it would be best to seek medical attention as soon as possible. If you are sure that your fluid retention problem is not a symptom of a serious disease or condition, then you can always use supplements, such as Expelis, to prevent weight gain due to water retention.

It is a frustrating process to apply for Social Security Disability. It is almost as frustrating to WATCH a loved one suffer while applying for Social Security Disability. The process of getting disability is long and tedious, full of paperwork, phone calls, doctors visits, and tests. For those of us who want to help our disabled loved ones as they endure the process, here are five basic ways:
1) Physical Assistance. If the person applying has a physical impairment, such as back or neck pain, it would be appropriate to help with groceries, laundry, cooking, and other tasks that may be difficult. If the person cannot drive or even walk, obviously offering to help with transportation would be helpful. If the person has live-in help, offer to take over for a few hours to give the helper a break. It may be refreshing to the helper and the disabled person to have a change.
2) Emotional Assistance. Whether the person applying has a physical or a mental impairment (or both), emotional assistance is one of the best ways to help. The process of getting disability benefits is long, and the applicant may need encouragement now and then. Most applicants are denied at least once, and may need you to encourage them to appeal the decision. Even if the person is in good spirits, it never hurts to be a good and supportive friend.
Remember that it is best to leave counseling to the experts. If your friend or loved one has depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, or other mental disorders, resist the urge to provide counseling and simply be a supportive influence. If you notice the person is becoming suicidal or harmful to himself or others, seek medical help and have the doctor notify Social Security.
3) Financial Assistance. Your loved one may wait to get disability benefits for years. His or her financial situation will likely become strained, and the subject of loans or financial support may come up. Decide now how you are able and willing to help, if at all. Make sure the person understands what you can do, and help just enough to help the person get by. If he or she is approved, any back benefits can help cover debts incurred during the waiting period.
4) Assistance with Paperwork. Social Security paperwork can be complicated. If needed, the person applying can authorize a close friend or family member to help with paperwork and phone calls regarding their disability claim. If you are chosen to assist, make sure paperwork is completed accurately and completely, and that all required signatures are present. If there is any missing information, it will halt the disability claim for awhile. If you have questions, contact Social Security or a disability lawyer for clarification.
5) Assistance with Medical Evidence. One of the most painstaking parts of applying for Social Security Disability is gathering medical records. Although Social Security has the ability to request these records, it is often a good idea for the applicant to do so. The doctor is sometimes more willing to give copies of medical records to a patient than to Social Security (except for in cases of mental disorders), and it may speed up the disability claim. It also helps to have the applicant visit the doctor often to update records that may be used as medical evidence. As a friend or loved one, you can help the applicant get to doctors' visits, request copies of medical records, and make sure they are sent to Social Security.
Best of luck in your noble efforts, and best wishes for a favorable decision

Quickoffice Symbian Crack / KeygenMisconception 1: Health insurance is unaffordable:
There are many types of plans available. The Health Savings Account (HSA), & the traditional copay type plans are the most popular. How do they compare?
The HSA plan is a high deductible health plan that covers you if there be a catastrophic health related event. It doesn't cover the day to day incidentals like buying drugs or visiting the doctor. Therefore, these plans tend to be more affordable and the premiums are more stable from year to year. If you purchase a very high deductible plan, you will limit your financial exposure.
The copay type plan offers some advantages over the HSA plan. First, you will have a copay of typically $30 to $50 to see a doctor. This makes it easy to see a doctor without causing a large hit to the monthly budget. The fallacy is that to offer you a copay, the insurance company has to estimate how many times you will visit the doctor.
If they insure a family that sees a doctor very frequently, such as once or twice per month, the insurance company will lose money because they have to make up the difference between the amount of the copay and the actual amount of the service provided. They don't like to lose money, so they build in a cushion. They assume that you will use your insurance frequently, and make the monthly premium high enough to cover this eventuality. Consequently, copay plans are NOT the least expensive way to insure yourself -- especially if you only see a doctor only once or twice per year.
To make insurance affordable, purchase a very high deductible HSA plan. It will offer you catastrophic coverage for an affordable price.
Misconception 2: I don't have much to lose:
You have a house, a nice new truck, a relatively new car, but you don't have health insurance. It is just a matter of priorities. Drive older vehicles, and you can then afford health insurance. Why, you say? If I have to go the hospital, they will take care of me and they will offer me a payment plan. The fallacy here is hospital admittance. The hospitals DO NOT have to admit you unless it is an emergency. If you need a hysterectomy, don't expect that the hospital will admit you.
Payment plans offered by hospitals and doctors may work for you, but what if you need a very expensive procedure like bypass surgery? That will cost approximately $130,000. Do you want to have to make payments monthly for the next twenty years? How can you expect to ever be financially sound with that burden to carry?
How about bankruptcy? That is not an option any longer. The courts have decided that medical payments cannot be forgiven through bankruptcy.
You do have a lot to lose. Lose your assets, incur a long term debt and perhaps be denied admittance to a health care facility.
Misconception 3: All or nothing thinking:
If you cannot afford a Cadillac, shouldn't you buy an inexpensive Ford, Chevy or even a Yugo? Yes, you need protection from financial ruin. Consider a $10,000 deductible plan. Oh, you gasp, that isn't very good. Where would I get $10,000? Ok, then, what is your deductible if you don't have any health plan? It seems to me that your deductible is UNLIMITED! Just about productive person can pay off $10,000 over a period of time. However, it is much more difficult to pay off $100,000, $200,000 or more.
There is a widespread misunderstanding of insurance concept. Insurance is not supposed to cover the "little stuff" It should cover the big events that you cannot recover from. There is a 1 in 1200 chance that you will lose your house to fire or weather events. You probably have your house insured because you couldn't afford to lose your house.
There is a 1 in 30 chance that you will be hospitalized. As you can see, the chance that you will need health insurance is much greater. Don't be imprudent, protect yourself.

Quickoffice Symbian Crack / KeygenConcerned about the high cost of healthcare? Worried that your insurance doesn't cover all your costs? Fortunately, a partial solution may be just around the corner. Since January 2004, taxpayers have had a tax savings tool called Health Savings Accounts, or HSAs. These HSAs may solve many of your healthcare cost problems.
How an HSA Works
In a nutshell, HSAs work like this. You buy a specific type of major medical, or catastrophic coverage, insurance called a High Deductible Health Plan. (This special HSA-compatible insurance is also known by the acronym HDHP.) Then, you annually contribute up to roughly $5,100 for a family and up to $2,600 for an individual--to a special health savings account. (Note that slightly higher deductions are available to taxpayers over the age of 55. Also, annual deductions are indexed for inflation.)
How You Save Taxes with HSAs
HSAs work because you get a tax deduction for the money you contribute to the health savings account. However, as long you spend the money in the account for eligible healthcare expenses-pretty much anything reasonable-you aren't taxed when you withdraw the money. Note that HSAs deductions are not limited by taxpayer incomes.
In effect, the HSA makes all or most of your uncovered healthcare expenses fully deductible. This is a big deal because for most people, healthcare expenses are not deductible.
Just to put the value of an HSA into perspective, a family can save from $500 to as much as $1750 annually in income taxes by using one of these accounts. The final savings, predictably, depend on family income and the state where the family lives.
One other thing.
Don't confuse HSAs with the old style Flexible Spending Accounts, or FSAs. With FSAs, you lost the money you didn't spend by the end of the year. With HSAs, you don't lose the money. The unused balance just carries forward to the next year.
Aren't Medical Expenses a Tax Deduction Anyway?
No, not really. For most people medical expenses are not a tax deduction. Here's why. Healthcare expenses do count as an itemized deduction for people who don't use the standard deduction. However, only the portions of one's healthcare costs that exceed 7.5% of adjusted gross income get deducted. That means that most people never get to use their healthcare costs as tax deductions because their healthcare costs don't cross the 7.5% threshold.
Another Benefit: HSAs May Also Save Premiums
HSAs sometimes produce another economic benefit. The HDHP insurance itself may save people money because they buy less insurance. This is especially true for people who aren't already using major medical insurance.
How to Set Up a Health Savings Account
HSA accounts aren't difficult to set up. Essentially, you do just two things. (1) Get medical insurance that qualifies as an HDHP, and (2) Open an HSA account with a bank that offers HSAs. Your current medical insurance provider is a good place to start your search for HDHP insurance. You can also check with your state's Blue Cross or Blue Shield insurer.
Three Warnings about HSAs
For what it's worth, I am now using an HSA myself. (I got my HDHP from Premera Blue Cross and use an HSA account from HSA Bank.) But let me also share three caveats: First, obviously, you never want to cancel one insurance policy until you're sure you have a replacement policy. Second, you do need to be careful about the fees associated with the HSA "bank account," so shop around. Third, if you withdraw money from an HSA for something other than a valid medical expense, the withdrawal is taxable and subject to a 10% penalty.
